St. Benno is the patron saint of Munich and Old Bavaria. Legend has it that he was inspired with a recipe for a delicious Brown Nectar, known today as Bock, a dark beer made before Easter. This is the oldest Fest at the Athenaeum dating earlier than 1913 and celebrates St. Benno and his special spring brew!
