Become a CIEE Host Family!

Families with or without children, as well as responsible single adults can become volunteer host families. All that is required of our hosting families is that they can provide a warm and loving environment for our students and are interested in encouraging the student to become an active member of their family.

As a Hosting Family You:

· Welcome a student into your home as a family member

· Provide an individual bed and meals

· Maintain contact with your CIEE Local Coordinator

· Provide your student with necessary transportation or assisting in arranging alternate transportation( i.e. a bike, car pool, etc. to and from school )

· Attend host family orientations, student welcome meetings and farewell parties

We offer hosting opportunities for the either the semester or academic year program. Additionally, families may choose to welcome a student to the community by hosting for a short-term period (approx. three weeks). We currently have International students coming in January; German students will come June 2010.
