An informal social club for German speakers in Central Indiana
Gerald is forgeting his German!
Greetings, my name is Gerald. Including the time I spent in the military, I lived in Heidelberg, Germany for a total of twenty-six years. I took a few night courses at the Univ. of Maryland to learn the proper way to speak German. I have been living back in the U.S. for about fifteen years and I am very sad that I am starting to forget the German language, mainly because I do not practice. I am hoping that at some point I can show up and attempt a conversation with anyone that will grant me the opportunity. I attempted to hold a conversation recently with a native Deutschlander and was shocked at how much that I have forgotten.

Comment by Courtney Lynn Adkins on January 28, 2010 at 11:23am - I graduated a few months ago, but I can already feel my German slipping away! I just joined Deutschklub today, and I am excited for these Wednesday evening events. Are there any other "Stammtisch" events or meetings???
